如果你喜欢刷流媒体短视频，那大概率曾见过他：每当中文互联网发生一件足够离谱的事，“大型纪录片”的音乐一响，一位自称“五星上将麦克阿瑟”的银发美国人便会出现在片尾，用一本正经的表情，对这个荒诞世界作出“五星点评”。“五星好评”的背后，是在中国生活了二十多年的Jim Filbird。这位67岁、现居深圳的美国人，用一句颇为有趣的话概括了自己在中国的这些年：“在黄金时代，我生活在深圳。” If you are a short-video user, chances are you have seen him. Whenever a bizarre incident goes viral on Chinese social media, an iconic piece of music kicks in, and a silver-haired American man appears at the end of the clip, calling himself General MacArthur and delivering a deadpan “five-star review” of the absurdity. The man behind the MacArthur persona is 67-year-old American Jim Filbird.
